Next Event: Arizona Motorsports Park April 7th
Our 20th season continues with a stop in Litchfield Park at the fantastic Arizona Motorsports Park
for a one day event. The track is a very open and fast 2.25 mile
course with 16 corners. This will not be a standard
ProAutoSports
event due to some restrictions the track has had placed on it, so make
sure to read this
entire email for all the details. We do anticipate this event selling out. Because of this, we are requiring that all participants pre-pay their entry fee, either online or by calling the office. Even with all of the "intricacies" below, we are very excited about this event and
want to help work with AMP to put on a successful track day.
Thanks in advance for your support, understanding and your help in
making it a successful event!
-Hurley Sound Restriction The
track has a sound limit for any car that wants to run on its track of
94dBA. In order to prove that your car is under the limit, you
must be sound tested by the AMP staff.
Car has not yet passed If
your car has not yet passed the test, we will offer testing in the
morning from 9am-10:20am. You will run a few laps at speed to see if it passes. If you do pass, your run
groups will start with the 11:00 rotation on the full track, and you
will get 3 full sessions. If it does not pass, you will not be
allowed to run, but you will receive $100 in credit towards a future ProAutoSports event.
Car has passed If
your car has already passed and you have the AMP sticker displayed, you
will get a "bonus" session in the morning on the 1.13 mile sub-track while the sound test is going on. Starting with the second
session, you will switch to running the full 2.25 mile track for the
remainder of the day.
If
you have made any modifications to your car since your test, or if you
were "sandbagging" during the test, please be aware that the County
fines Arizona Motorsports Park every time their meter is in violation.
AMP will then take these fines out of a deposit that the club has
put down. We do not expect any violations, but ProAutoSports does
reserve the right to pass these fines down to the owner of the car that
violates the sound restrictions. If you have any questions about
the noise restrictions, please feel free to give us a call or email us. Number of Guests The
track has a limit on the number of people that can be on premises at
one time, and it includes drivers, guests, officials, volunteers and
safety crew. Because of this, we have to limit the number of
entrants as well as limit guests to one per entrant (this includes children of all ages).
If you are bringing a guest, make sure you select "Guest Pass" when you
are signing up online so we can get an accurate headcount.
Gate Opening & Closing No
participants can enter the facility before 8am and everyone must leave
the
premises by 5pm, so we switched around the schedule so that the
event will run from 9am-4pm. No overnight camping is allowed.
Gates will open Saturday morning at 8:00 am and all cars &
trailers must be off the property by 5pm on Saturday.
New Member Orientation
We
will also be holding our New Member Orientation Class on
Saturday for a limited number of new participants. The class will
begin promptly at 8:30.
If you have any questions, check out our FAQ, or feel free to email/call the office.
